GHS Revisions to HazCom

Do you have questions about the GHS revisions to OSHA’s HazCom standard?

… I can help.

The Global Harmonization System (GHS) is a product of the United Nations that embodies an international approach to hazard communication using an agreed upon criteria for classifying hazardous chemicals and a standardized method to communicate the hazards through use of container labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).  At first, I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about the GHS revisions since the HazCom Standard it has revised is an OSHA regulation and not one of the USEPA or USDOT.  However, the questions from my customers just kept coming, so I decided to research the revision to OSHA’s HazCom standard for my own knowledge.  In the process I created a set of FAQ’s, and learned more then I bargained for.

The FAQ’s are contained in a blog post in order to facilitate frequent updates to the content, which has happened often.  Please review and revise my FAQ document and feel free to ask me a questions I can answer and then add to my FAQ’s.
