Who am I?
Good question, and one you should know the answer to before you attend my training. I consider myself to be a thoroughly average guy, with maybe a slightly higher than average enjoyment of reading and understanding HazMat and hazardous materials regulations.
Daniels Training Services (established 2010) is a family business where everyone in our house gets involved. My wife Charlotte handles all accounting and travel arrangements, along with assembling my training binders and proofreading my blog posts and newsletters before publication.
Our twin sons Samuel and Tymon and daughter Adeline are experts on social media and they assist me with some of the inner workings to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques. My wife and kids keep me well-grounded with well-timed interruptions to remind me that being a husband and father brings me my life’s greatest rewards.
My personal interests include active involvement in the Silver Creek Reformed Church in German Valley, IL, along with reading (mostly history) and taking long walks. As time allows when traveling, I attempt to explore the areas around my hotels by foot, as I’m always interesting in learning more about our surroundings.
My professional training and background includes:
- University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (1987-1991)
- Bachelor of Science, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Law Enforcement
- Laidlaw Environmental, Pecatonica, IL (1992-1997)
- Field Chemist/Driver, Consolidation Supervisor
- Fehr-Graham and Associates, Freeport, IL (1998-2010)
- Project Environmental Scientist
- Daniels Training Services, Freeport, IL (2010 to present)
- Owner/Training Provider
